Bushy Park (Deer Rutting)
Bushy Park for Deer Rutting is ideal in late September through to start of November. Using the Hampton Court Gate proceed to the roundabout and take first exit after the main road (Motor vehicles prohibited) into the car park, this is the Diana Fountain car park which is free parking. A small refreshment hut is also here and toilets about 250 metres away.

Red Deer being wild animals are not always waiting about for pictures to be taken so a little searching may be needed, a walk around the lake normally will reveal where some are from the bellowing that can be heard in the early mornings. Most activity finishes around 10.00-10.30. There are made paths you can follow or go into the foilage, care should be taken not to get to close to the deer. A medium 70-200mm or long lens up to 600mm are best. You might be treated very early before 8.00 to a nice mist over the meadows which creates some lovely atmosphere for your images.
